Fornace Polirone continues the centuries-long activity of 'Fornace Morselli' from Mantova, Italy.
Since 1982 Alberto Cappelli and Roberto Pasqualini, together with sisters Nadia and Norma Morselli, started back the activity of an old Furnace in Borgoforte, near the town of Mantova.
Using old walnut wooden stamps they began to produce some different kinds of pieces (bricks, frames, tiles, vases…).
During the years Fornace Polirone improved it's tecniques in the making of tiles on request or copying existing ones.
Superintendences and many Technical operators discovered the Furnace at the beginning of the 90es thanks to the realization of the Palazzo San Vitale in Parma's tiles floor, Chiesa dell’Incoronata in Sabbioneta, Villa Saraceno of Palladio in Agugliaro – VI - and many more.
Our passion and the continue research made possible for us to satisfy more important requests, such as 1000 square meters (about 11.000 square feets) of tiles for La Scala theatre in Milan, St. Christopher Church in Milan, the Este Castle in Ferrara an many other churches.
During 2006 Fornace Polirone placed the pavement of Mirandola Castle (3.000 square meters), Masana-Carpeneto Piacentino medieval Tower, Waimar Castle in Germany, Vaduz Castle in Liechtenstein and an important reconstruction in the famous Camera degli Sposi of Andrea Mantegna in St. George's Castle, Mantova.
We are proud of these important goals we achieved. That's why we keep the elevated standard of quality in our production.
